3 Tips For Wellbeing Coaches On How To Have It All - Work, Play & Family Time.

With the sun out, plenty of BBQ's happening, social gatherings and school holiday activities upon us, that means only one thing for us business owners - BIG BIG distractions!

Summer time is wonderful, it really is, but how are we meant to stay focused in this gorgeous weather and continue to build a successful business?!

It's challenging, right? Don't tell me you haven't already thought about shifting your work schedule to be out having fun in the sun!

So, how do we have it all - the work, play and family time?

For a Wellbeing Coach, I know how important it is to find the right balance in your day.

Using these simple tips could give you just that! Giving you time back in the day to focus on what matters to you.

1) Manage on-the-go:

There's so many amazing apps out nowadays that pretty much cover most aspects of your business allowing you to work on-to-go.

Let's take a look:

2) Dress for Success:

With the heat factor going on, a lot of us will want to wear comfortable clothes to stay cool.

Have you considered that what we wear plays a part in our overall mood and productivity levels?

New research shows that it actually impacts how you think.

"Wearing professional clothes increases creative thinking and gives people a broader prospective".

So Ladies, let's see those professional outfits on!

3) Boundaries:

Arghh! "yes, yes I know, I'm working on it!!" - do you often say this to yourself?

Me too, been there myself, many times...

Actually, I can give a recent example;

I was invited to go out for lunch one afternoon and as tempted as I was, I said no.

Why? People need to accept my work boundaries, just because I work from home doesn't mean I have lots of free time. Is this something you can relate to?


Remove distractions - whether you're a Mumpreneur, Dadpreneur or Solopreneur, you've got to set boundaries with yourself and with family. It doesn't need to be a difficult conversation, simply just let people know when it's work time and when it's play/family time.

No-one else is going to do it for us, unfortunately.
